In the Crati valley on its confluence with the Basento near the ruins of the Cistercian Sambucina abbey, a tiny hamlet called San Vito has given its name to a DOC Calabrian wine. Malvasia and Greco Bianco are the grapes for the white wines and Gaglioppo, Malvasia Nera and a few others for the reds and rosés.
