Once more, Nebbiolo, the king of vines in Piemonte, known here as “spanna” and the principal ingredient in the DOCG Gattinara, together with a tiny percentage of Vespolina and Bonarda grapes. After many years of aging, first in casks and then in the bottle, the color takes on an orange-red hue, with a subtle bouquet of jams, spices, roses and wild berries.
