The Abbey of Santa Anastasia stretches out into the slopes of the Parco delle Madonie in the Commune of Castelbuono in the province of Palermo. Francesco Lena, who had the idea to create a winery capable of producing superior wine, purchased the Abbey in 1980. He adapted the terrain with organic farming and biodynamic methods and produces wines both authochthonous (Inzolia and Nero d’Avola) and international (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc).
The cellars are open year round with guided tours on request.
The renovated Abbey, now the Relais Santa Anastasia, offers 29 rooms of varying sizes and named after grapes, are warm, elegant and intimate. There are 2 restaurants at the hotel, La Corte dell’Abate and Passioni & Tentazioni
