The Abbey was founded in 1142 and has been active in winemaking ever since it aquired the best fields in the valley. It is one of the most northerly wineries in all of Italy. The Praepositus line was added to the basic offering top quality products like the Alto Adige Valley Kerner Isarco, the Gewürstraminer, and the Sylvaner. The Markholf Moscato Rosa is also delicious.
