The only valley of the Marche oriented towards north-south in and area fully protected by the winds coming from the Adriatic Sea. La Monacesca farm extends over about 80 hectares, 27 of which are cultivated with vines. The most famous wine produced is Verdicchio di Matelica. There are also a couple of Rosso, Camerte, Ecclesia and Mirum.
