2020 Italian Capital of Culture

2 March 2020

Over two months ago the elegant Parma inaugurated its year as the 2020 Italian Capital of Culture. It is an please-don’t-miss opportunity to discover the many beauties of the town including works of art, landscapes and food&wine excellences immersed in a sophisticated environment that looks at the future while remaining faithful to its one-off and prestigious traditions.

Piazza del Duomo, with the Cathedral and the Baptistery and, a stone’s throw away, the Teatro Regio are the must-see destinations and the starting point for a tour of the town, We cannot fail to mention the fact that Parma, the cradle of theatre and music that echoes the notes by Giuseppe Verdi, is also the Creative UNESCO City for Gastronomy and the capital of the Food Valley. The products that identify the Italian excellence in the world such as Parmigiano Reggiano, Prosciutto di Parma, Culatello di Zibello, have they origins in Parma. I recommend a visit at the Antica Corte Pallavicina. It is a special destination that will make your trip in Parma an unforgettable experience.
